About Me

Education

Educational History:

I attended Sam Houston High School in Houston, Texas and graduated in 1976.

I attended college in Hunstville, Texas at Sam Houston State University and Received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education with a Minor in Spanish.  I graduated from Sam Houston State in 1993.

Degrees and Certifications:

I have taught Bilingual KIndergarten, and Bilingual Pre-K, Reading Recovery in first grade,English as a Second Language and Spanish as a Second Language at the Elementary Level, Bilingual Special Education grades 1-4, Second grade Bilingual Education, and Third grade Bilingual Education.  

 

Professional Development:

I have attended conferences for Bilingual Education, Reading Recovery, Brain Research pertaining to Education, ESL, Reading Acadamies, Dyslexia, Early Childhood, and Bilingual Testing, 

Current Position:

I started teaching at Crestview Elem. in 2003.

I have been with the District for 13 years.

I am currently teaching third grade Bilingual Education.

Previous Position:

I started teaching upon graduation from Sam Houston State University in 1993.

I taught in Huntsvile ISD as Bilingual Kindergarten teacher, Conroe ISD as a Reading Recovery Teacher, SSL and ESL, and Bilingual Special Education teacher at the Elementary Level. I taught Dual Language KIndergarten for 4 years in Breckenridge ISD.
