About Me

Education

Educational History:

I graduated from Denison High School in Denison, TX in 2000.

I graduated from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in 2005.

Degrees and Certifications:

I have an Associate of Arts Degree, Bachelor of Science Degree with a specialization in Early Childhood through 4th grade, and a Minor in Bible.

Professional Development:

I have completed two years of training with Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children for the Take Flight Program.

Current Position:

I started teaching at Crestview in 2012, and this will be my 9th year.  I am currently a Dyslexia Therapist at Crestview Elementary.  This will be my 16th year in education. 

Previous Position:

I started teaching at Hyde Park Elementary in Denison, TX.  I taught there for 7 years.  I have taught 1st-5th grades.

Family Information:

I currently have 5 goats, 6 cats, and 2 dogs that keep me very busy when I’m not at school.  I enjoy playing with them, but most of all I enjoy relaxing and playing with them.  

Personal Information:

When I’m not teaching I enjoy spending time with my family, my animals, and traveling. I also enjoy reading a good mystery, and occasionally I make jewelry.
